Flying Sites

The Tasman Region sits in the northwest of the South Island. It is bounded to the west by the Matiri Ranges and Tasman Mountains; to the south, by the Victoria Ranges; to the east, by the Saint Arnaud and Richmond Ranges; and to the north, by the Tasman and Golden Bays.

Tasman boasts a wide variety of flying sites due to its unique topography, with scope ranging from cross country to coastal soaring. Below are the sites currently maintained by the Club.
